My daughter has a small room but we wanted to maximize the play area and make a loft bed for my little girl.
Materials:
- MYDAL bunk bed
- STUVA combination Storage for dress
- TROFAST Storage for toys
- HAMPEN carpet (for under bed and upper TROFAST)
- SÄRDAL Light under bed
- BARNSLIG mirror
- LÄTT children table under bed
- RIBBA Picture ledge as bedside table
- SKOJIG Wall lamp
- SNUDDA solid wood birch + SOCKER Plant pot + Magnets for penholder
I used a MYDAL bunk bed structure to gain space in a small room. I removed the lower bunk for use as loft bed. I have modified the structure of the MYDAL to access the opening of the TROFAST storage for toys. I added stability to structure by moving the lateral bar down to the floor level.
I modified also where my girl climbs up to make it easier for her to get up the to bed.
I cut the HAMPEN carpets to the right size and placed them on top of the TROFAST with Velcro so that I can remove the carpet for washing when I need to.
I added a small stool because the first step on the TROFAST is too high for her.
As bedside table I used the RIBBA Picture ledge.
As final touch I use a wireless remote control to turn on the SÄRDAL Light under the bed and SKOJIG Wall lamp (with two remote controls that can be control up to 4 lights, one near door and other under bedside table.)
P.S. Penholder is SNUDDA solid wood birch lazy susan + SOCKER Plant pot + magnets so we can keep and put penholders where we want.
