I keep doing double takes every time I look at my computer calendar right now. October? It’s October? I still can’t believe that fall is here, but I am starting to really enjoy the excuse to drag out my chunky sweaters, striped turtlenecks and heavier socks. I’m sure I’ll grow tired of them when January rolls around, but for now they seem exciting and new and make me feel like the promise of hot cider is around every corner. And for me, hot cider and plaid go hand in hand. I wish I’d kept my treasured flannels from high school (I so desperately wanted to live in Seattle and not Virginia Beach), but instead of dragging those out, I’m excited to work a few plaid pieces into our home this time of year. From cozy plaid blankets and checked chairs to plaid iPhone cases and even handsome plaid jackets for your dog, I spent all weekend tracking down my favorite plaid items in the market right now. If bigger home goods aren’t on your list, there are even a few plaid washi tapes and a cute plaid clipboard. Everything seems a little bit cozier with a bit of plaid this time of year, so I hope there’s something in here for everyone (or someone on your holiday shopping list later this year). xo, grace
