The slim and simple NESNA bedside table is made from bamboo with a top of tempered glass. The glass panel makes the table top-heavy which is risky when you have small children. It struck me that a normal kitchen tray of laminated paper could easily be sawn into the same shape as the original glass top.
1. Measure the glass top
2. Find a cool tray where the flat section is large enough.
3. Use the glass top and a magic marker to mark out where to cut the tray.
4. Cut the tray using a hack saw – careful the trays are brittle and will easily crack.
5. Assemble the table using the new top – follow original assembly instructions.
And you’re done.
