Materials: KALLAX shelving unit
I was contemplating on how to upgrade my snakes vivarium, on looking at my Kallax unit I came up with an idea. I removed the top centre piece, put an MDF back onto it, glued runners to the front top and front bottom for sliding doors, had glass cut to size and Hey presto, a new vivarium that looks smart and also has the 2 remaining bottom shelves with the IKEA storage tubs for my snakes bits and pieces.
Nice looking, compact, with storage. This could be used to house other reptiles and costs less than a new vivarium and looks a lot smarter.
