It seems impossible to parse through our Sneak Peek archives and distill it down to the 10 best homes that characterize the design hub that is Brooklyn. Through the editing process I realized that an important thing to acknowledge is that Brooklyn has lived a thousand lives. The Brooklyn of today is not the same one of 10 years ago and certainly not 30 or 50 years ago. Like it or not, that is part of what makes it so great and why so many creatives are drawn to the borough. Undeterred by the 30 layers of chipping paint on those spectacular old moldings or a floor that slants sideways, or even a new construction with no character to speak of, these 10 apartments demonstrate that any space in Brooklyn can become home.
