Ok, I normally use a 1 door Pax as storage for my vacuum cleaner, broom, cleaners and similar.
On the door I used to have (badly glued) one of those multi pocket things to keep small things organised. It fell off today.
I was thinking about placing a rail (Bygel or Finntorp) screwing inside the Pax door and then place a new multi-pocket thing.
Has anyone screwed anything inside a Pax door?
Will it last?

I am a shameless lover of flower photos. I have to stop myself from constantly uploading and re-gramming photos of giant peonies, fresh bouquets of ranunculus and just about every spring branch that’s blooming in New York right now. After a fairly brutal winter, I feel the need to document each moment as if to declare to myself and the rest of the world, “See! Spring! We finally made it!”
Thankfully there are plenty of people whose jobs involve sharing beautiful floral work online, because they are actual florists, not wish-they-were-florists, like me. Aside from new homes to feature, I’ve found Instagram the most helpful in discovering new florists across the globe. From Ruby Barber of Mary Lennox in Germany to Euphoric Flowers in the UK, my favorite floral feeds are not only a wealth of flower inspiration, but perfect for coming up with color palette, entertaining and pattern ideas. I’ve found some of my favorite paint ideas from floral photos and come up with great concepts for making arrangements at home. So whether you’re looking to get practical advice and tips or just want to sift through hours of pretty garden roses, these are the feeds for you. Materials: EXPEDIT
This IKEA hack turns the 5×5 Expedit bookcase into a resting place for both cats and books with an integrated staircase.
Our cats, Mojito and Tequila, love to climb and hide away in our furniture. The biggest piece of furniture in our living room is the 5×5 Expedit. We were inspired by designer Corentin Dombrecht and his Cat-Library made from modular square blocks.
By making the top right half of the case more shallow, we create a set of stairs. Using the leftover wood we made smaller steps to bridge the height of a full Expedit square.
You see the staircase emerging from cutting the horizontal shelves in a particular way. But the real challenge is cutting the horizontal shelf, which is hollow and filled with paper. The top shelf contain two holes to allow the cats to reach their special platform. It protrudes from the case, giving the cats a good view of the room.

When I moved into my studio fifteen months ago, I knew I wanted to create a feature wall near the entryway that felt curated, functional and peppered with color. It’s a place where I’d greet clients and a space to display my work and objects I’ve collected. While I would have loved to contract a carpenter to build out a drop-dead shelving system like this, it was simply not in my budget. So, out of necessity, I came up with a solution that was pocketbook friendly, doable with limited tools and offered flexibility.
The solution was inspired by the old pegboard system we were tasked with climbing in grade school physical education class, except this one would not require climbing. We used wood dowels and double-sided screws to create the pegs. The shelves we picked up at the local hardware store. Filled with some art and a few of my favorite objects, this project made a big step forward in shaping up our entryway. Not to mention, it created a perfect spot to drop your coat on your way in! Materials: 2 Lack TV Benches
I needed a narrow console table to fit our hallway, so I attached the tops of 2 Lack tv benches together using brackets underneath to create a long tabletop. I added 4 garden posts to make pretty legs and used 4 of the Lack legs doubled up to make a wide leg to support the centre. I then attached the original shelves to the lower part of the legs to hold boots, shoes and accessories.
I covered the top in chic marble effect sticky backed vinyl and added baskets to hold incoming mail and small items. I later added another shelf to hold bags etc.
Having a roll of washi tape around the house feels like second nature these days. I first discovered Japanese washi tape a few years ago when it felt like every cute design shop had a roll or two you could use to dress up packages and letters. Its low tack makes it perfect for using on walls and paper, because you can easily remove the tape without ruining the surface underneath it. We like to use it to frame inspiration boards and images around the office, but it can be used for hundreds of different projects around the home, office and for kids. I’ve been pinning projects I like for a while, but now there’s a book that rounds up a huge range of great projects you can do with washi tape and a little spare time.
Author and crafter Courtney Cerruti just released her new book, Washi Tape: 101+ Ideas for Paper Crafts, Book Arts, Fashion, Decorating, Entertaining, and Party Fun! . The title is spot-on; this book is chock-full of quick and easy projects that use washi tape as the prime material. From sprucing up switch plates and personal tech devices to creating custom wrapping paper, Courtney’s book showcases the versatility of washi tape and the way its patterns can add color and detail in unexpected places. What I love most about this book – and washi tape in general – is that it’s so flexible and customizable without a major commitment. Wallpaper and paint require a major effort to install and remove, but washi tape is just a simple peel-off-and-start-over situation. Its relatively inexpensive price and availability (you can find thousands of washi tape styles in Etsy shops) makes it an ideal material for people looking to embrace a trend, but still leave room for a change down the road. I’m excited to try some of these out, and Courtney was kind enough to share some of the projects here with us today.
